UK manufacturer
MediTek is aiming to increase sales of its stair
lifts direct to customers in the UK.
The company, based
in Newton-Aycliffe in the north-east of England,
exports more than 3,000 lifts to markets in Europe
Australia and America.
Now it wants to
raise its share of the UK market and has
employed a business development manager
specifically tasked with increasing UK consumer
sales.
Managing director
Philip Carmedy-Pye said: "People can buy
direct from us, the manufacturer.
"We design it here,
make it here and so we can ensure that the customer
is getting exactly what they want"
The new business
development manager is Nikki Rotherham, who said:
"It's great to be working for a company such as
MediTek and I'm looking forward to building on the
hard work which has been done."
MediTek employs 30
workers at its base at Aycliffe Business
Park.
